For the first time in the Baltic States, the procedure was carried out using the Cascination navigational artificial intelligence system

For the first time in the Baltic States, dr. Donatas Jocius, a doctor of interventional radiology at the Interventional Radiology Department of Vilnius University Hospital VUL Santaros Clinic , performed the first procedure using the CAScination AG navigational artificial intelligence system CAS-One IR. The patient underwent the procedure of cryoablation of the kidney tumor (destruction of cancer cells by cold) and microwave ablation of the liver tumor.

AI-powered solutions allow doctors to perform percutaneous interventions such as ablations, biopsies even safer and more efficiently, ensuring high-quality results of minimally invasive treatment. The use of the CAS-One IR system increases the reliability and accuracy of procedures, avoiding complications, it is possible to treat cases that seem too complicated without using such a system.

Image blurring capabilities expand treatment planning and provide quality control immediately after ablation to reduce the number of local recurrences. Such treatment provides patients with a number of advantages: the time of hospital treatment is reduced compared to traditional surgery, recovery is faster, the effects of harmful radiation are significantly reduced.
