Conference on Interventional Oncology held in Rotterdam – ECIO 2025

Interventional Oncology is considered one of the four essential cancer treatment methods alongside surgery, medication and radiation treatment. The largest conference in Europe – ECIO 2025 – was held in Rotterdam this year.

Experts from various fields gathered at the conference shared practical knowledge and insights on how minimally invasive, video-controlled procedures can contribute to both cancer treatment and nursing.

The most important highlights of the conference are advanced sessions on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), pediatric interventional oncology and combined treatment methods with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Practical training was also held on the topics of tumor ablation, radioembolization and AI-based procedure planning.

One of the main slogans of the entire conference is the importance of cooperation. Sessions such as “ECIO meets ILCA”, “ENETS” and “EAU” demonstrated the importance of building bridges between different specialties to ensure personalized and effective treatment for patients.

The Ambercell team also participated in the ECIO 2025 Conference and gained knowledge about the latest IO achievements. We are proud to be part of the ever-growing IO community and to contribute to the development of IO in daily clinical practice in the Baltics.
