The first implantation procedure of relay arch stentgraft<\/a> with three branches in the Baltic States was successfully performed at Santaros Clinics<\/a>, which was performed by interventional cardiologist dr. Andrius Ber\u016bk\u0161tis, vascular surgeon dr. Tomas Baltr\u016bnas and radiologist dr. Eimantas Dumskis.<\/p>\n\n

During this procedure, the patient was treated with an aortic arch aneurysm, which appeared after type A aortic dissection and open aortic surgery. The relay arch stentgrafte, adapted to the patient’s unique anatomy, was used during the procedure, one of the most advanced medical innovations in interventional radiology and aortic treatment. At the moment, it is the only stentgraft on the market for the treatment of the aortic arch. <\/p>\n\n

The low-invasive relay arch stentgrafte implantation procedure with three branches is an alternative to open heart surgery. This is one of the most complex and advanced methods of treatment in the field of aortic treatment, which preserves the patient’s health, reduces the risk of postoperative complications and allows the patient to return to the usual rhythm of life and daily activities as soon as possible. <\/p>\n\n
