Thromboembolism is a condition that occurs when a blood clot (thrombus) is formed in a blood vessel and, subsequently separated, can travel blood circulation and clog another blood vessel, thereby causing a pulmonary embolism, stroke or heart attack. Prevention of thromboembolism is especially important for nurses, since tomboembolism is a serious complication that can occur in patients undergoing surgery. Nurses have a crucial role to play in ensuring that patients are protected from this condition throughout the surgical process. Effective prevention of thromboembolism can reduce the risk of complications and improve the well-being of patients after surgery.      <br\/><br\/>During the conference, the Cardinal Health\u2122 Kendall SCD\u2122 700 Smart Compression\u2122 system was presented at the Ambercell booth for the prevention of thrombormbolism.
