“Nursing Innovation Day 2026”, organized by AmberCell, brought together more than 60 nursing managers and operating room specialists from all over Lithuania for a discussion on the efficiency of healthcare processes, standardization and implementation of innovations in practice.<\/p>\n\n

During the event, a lot of attention was paid to the daily challenges faced by nursing teams and medical institutions when organizing processes in operating rooms and other clinical units. The discussions revealed that one of the most important factors of effective health care today is not only technology, but also clearly defined, coherent processes. <\/p>\n\n

During the event, Prof. Dr. Natalja Istomina emphasized the importance of standardization of processes in order to ensure patient safety, efficient use of resources and smooth cooperation between teams. Although standardization in healthcare is becoming more and more relevant, in practice, medical institutions still face different working models, different processes between departments and insufficient consistency of actions. <\/p>\n\n

During the discussions, a lot of attention was also paid to decision-making processes in medical institutions. Practice shows that changes often stall not due to a lack of solutions, but due to complex transfer links, unclear distribution of responsibilities and a clear lack of ownership of processes. <\/p>\n\n

In this context, the role of nursing leaders becomes particularly important \u2013 the ability not only to coordinate teams, but also to identify process brakes, initiate changes and ensure more efficient organization of daily activities.<\/p>\n\n

The event also discussed that the implementation of innovations in the healthcare sector is a complex process that requires not only technological solutions, but also a clear database, organizational preparation and long-term involvement. As Evaldas Gra\u017eys noted, the value of modern MedTech solutions today is assessed not only through technological innovation, but also through the ability to clearly demonstrate their impact on clinical, organizational and economic results. <\/p>\n\n

That is why the role of the medical technology sector is becoming increasingly important \u2013 not only in introducing new solutions, but also in helping medical institutions to structure processes, organize work more efficiently and ensure that innovations actually work in everyday practice.<\/p>\n\n

We thank all speakers, nursing leaders and participants of the event for the open discussion, shared experience and common goal to strengthen the culture of innovation and efficient processes in the Lithuanian healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n
