We had another opportunity to contribute to the application of advanced medical technologies, ensuring effective and safe minimally invasive treatment.<\/p>\n\n
The first renal tumor cryoablation procedure was recently successfully performed at the Paul Stradi\u0146\u0161 Clinical University Hospital in Latvia, a minimally invasive treatment method that allows for the precise destruction of tumor tissue, preserving healthy kidneys and ensuring faster recovery for the patient.<\/p>\n\n
The procedure was carried out by the radiology team of Paulo Stradi\u0146\u0161 Hospital – Dr. Inga Na\u013civaiko, Dr. Andris Veiss, Dr. Anna Ba\u0161kirova, Professor Maija Radzi\u0146a and radiographer Paula Putniece – in close cooperation with the specialists of the Urology Clinic. The clinical management of the procedure was ensured by Donatas Jocius, an interventional radiologist at VUL Santaros Klinikos. <\/p>\n\n
The radiology team was able to perform the procedure using two cryoablation needles, controlled by computed tomography and ultrasound. During the procedure, complete destruction of tumor cells was achieved, and the patient was discharged from the hospital the very next day, feeling well. <\/p>\n\n
