This condition affects approximately 33% of women. Chronic pelvic pain can be a component of <strong data-start=\"305\" data-end=\"341\">Pelvic Congestion Syndrome (PCS)<\/strong>, which is characterised by pelvic venous insufficiency and varicose veins in the pelvic region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-46fae75f e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"46fae75f\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div data-contrast=\"auto\">to detect pelvic varices<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">  can help confirm pelvic venous stasis syndrome. But<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">  for more precise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">  other imaging tests may be needed to confirm the diagnosis. These tests may include venography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or magnetic resonance venography.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The diagnostic criteria for diagnosing pelvic venous stasis syndrome by ultrasound are:<\/span> <br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8211; Tortuous pelvic veins with a diameter of &gt; 6 mm<\/span> <br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8211; Slow blood flow &lt; 3 cm\/s or reverse flow<\/span> <br \/><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8211;
